Harvey Grandstaff, Ph.D., CCC/SLP has been a practicing speech pathologist for 33 years.
His experience has included acute care hospitals, rehab-SNF facilities, public schools, private practice and Universities. He is Professor Emeritus at Miami University of Ohio.
He has presented scientific papers in speech pathology at both national and international conventions. He has been included in additions of "Who's Who Biographical Record", compiled by the editors of Who's Who In America?.
He is the author or co-author of numerous articles which have been published in various state and national refereed speech pathology journals.
He served as research consultant in speech pathology at the University of Illinois Research and Education Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and he received post-doctoral training at Duke University Medical Center. He has completed graduate courses in both dysphagia and neurogenic disorders. He completed his internship in dysphagia at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
His primary areas of expertise are in the evaluation and treatment of dysphagia and neurogenic disorders.
In the year 2,000, he fully retired from his work in speech pathology and began enjoying his hobbies of creating music and serving as a computer web master. He has recorded twenty CDs and he has built more than 100 web sites.
He is married and has two sons. He now resides in Florida.
